Different Loveseat Recliner Models
Just as the name denotes, a loveseat recliner is a type of chair that was made for two persons and which can be reclined into a comfortable lounger. With this kind of furniture, it is possible to relax with your head lying down and your feet elevated above the floor. The design of the recliner sofa was made with the natural contours of the body in mind, and was first seen on the market in 1928. Some of the models that you can find come with an ottoman seat to serve as a stool. When it first became popular, many of manufacturers came out with their own versions to bank in on the trend. The result is the various models that are now available. A variety of materials were used in the construction including leather, Naugahyde (which is a kind of artificial leather) and vinyl.
The loveseat recliner is an example of the many innovations that are done to traditional furniture. Because it was evident that the reclining seat offers so much comfort, it was made into something that allows a partner to sit along, thereby doubling the joy of sitting in one. There are basically three versions that were made out of the basic design. These are:
- The rocker or wall saver recliner
- The two position loveseat
- The flex back or pushback recliner
The rocker or wall saver type of loveseat recliner is probably the most famous. You can rock back and forth on it and it comes with various adjustable angles for reclining. You can position it very close to a wall thereby saving some space in your house but obviously, you cannot rock it if its back is on the wall. The warranty given for this model is generally five years for the frame. The entire unit comes with a lifetime warranty.
The two position loveseat recliner is a traditional design and is the most basic and cheapest among all the recliner types. The areas that are subjected to much use and abuse, such as the arm, are usually upholstered with durable materials like genuine leather. So are the leg and seat base. The pushback on the other hand needs to be pushed back to transform it into a reclining position. Most designs are done with genuine leather which can match even the most modern room. However, this type of loveseat recliner is more expensive compared to the two position model.
